Annual Conference Programs
Writer, consultant, coach and spiritual director, Rev. Susan Beaumont will be the lead teacher for AC 2017. Rev. Beaumont is a former Senior Consultant with the Alban Institute and the author of When Moses Meets Aaron. Through the teaching sessions, participants will explore the soul of the newly formed Michigan Area Annual Conference and examine the leadership role in nurturing the soul of the Conference, along with the soul of the congregations they lead.
Michigan will become one single conference by 2019. This year, the Design Team will be presenting proposals on structure for affirmation at annual conference. As materials become available in early 2017, they will be posted here.
Bishop’s Welcome BBQ
Thursday night will be a time of fellowship and fun to welcome Bishop David Bard and his family to Michigan. Enjoy some good food and great music and make new friends in the Michigan Area. Registration required and no cost to attendees.
One of the highlights of annual conference is the ordination of new elders and deacons. Again this year, we will celebrate the Service of Ordination, Commissioning and Election in a combined service with candidates from both the West Michigan and Detroit conferences.
Be a part of this special time of welcoming on Sunday, June 4 at 2:00 PM EST.
